SCSIデバイス間の物理リンクを構成する送受信機。転送プロトコル毎に異なった送受信機がある。例えばSASでは二つの差動信号のペアからなる4個の電線を使う。他のファブリックには光ケーブルを使うものもある。

A transceiver used to set up physical links between SCSI devices. There are different transceivers for each transport protocol. SAS, for example, uses four wires that comprise two differential signal pairs. Some other fabrics use an optical cable.
