一つのデータアドレス指定のドメインから別のドメインへ変換するためのアルゴリズムを用いること．ボリュームがアルゴリズミックマッピングされている場合，データのブロックの物理的な位置は，既知のボリュームの特性（例えば，ストライプの深さやメンバディスク数）を用いて仮想ボリュームアドレスから計算可能である． 参照：dynamic mapping, tabular mapping

Use of an algorithm to translate from one data addressing domain to another. If a volume is algorithmically mapped, the physical location of a block of data may be calculated from its virtual volume address using known characteristics of the volume (e.g. stripe depth and number of member disks). cf. dynamic mapping, tabular mapping
